Trouble lifting??

I have a Ford 850 1956 tractor. Given to me by a relative its has some problems. Ive fixed most everything but the hydraulic system is still giving me trouble. It wont lift the implement all the way off the ground and if it does when i start to drive the implement lowers itself on its own. The raise lever is still in the upright position when this happens. I purchased 36 acres in alabama about 5 yrs ago. I need this tractor to work BAD!!! Please help K.R.

Welcome to TBN.... wish I was familiar with the particular tractor... might put the tractor model in your subject so it catches the eye of people who know about this particular model.

Am sure you checked hydraulic fluid level, cleaned any screens and filters, etc of regular maintenance.
