I'm a proud owner of a new 4530 which now has 3hrs own it and I've got trouble with it allready. I'm hopeing its something simple and that somebody can tell me how to do a quick fix.

As I'm pulling the 6' brush hog everything is just fine until I start getting into a little thicker grass and it puts the tractor under a little stress. Then the tractor starts spuddering and blowing out white smoke.I had read on the forum somewhere that one person had a simular problem and that it was the fuel cap so i took it off and ran without it for a few minutes but that didnt fix the problem so I stoped mowing and just drove the tractor around and noticed that when I accelerated to higher rpm's it starts spuddering and blowing white smoke.

I guess it could be bad fuel, which it was delivered with a full tank from the dealer, bad fuel filter,Or maybe a bad injector.Who knows...but it sure sucks to spend this much money and have trouble allready.

I have not spoke to my dealer yet because this took place after they were closed but I'll give them a call tomorow.Meanwhile does anyone have any suggestions.

If it sat on the lot for a good while I'll bet there is a surprising amount of water in the tank??

Your probably right so as soon as i get off work tomorrow I'll be draining the tank and replaceing the fuel and filter.

I sure hope its that simple.

If it was me the dealer would be finding the problem. I wouldn't do a thing.

there is a little temp sensor on the left side of the engine that adjusts the fuel control untill its at full temp. unplug it and put a jumper wire across it in the plug. if this fixes it they have an updated sensor and bracket for it. takes about two minits to change.

What rpm are you running?? Seems if it runs OK for a few minutes and then acts strange, check your radiator, especially if the front screen is "clogged" with hay "stuff" from the field. Where is the Temp guage riding?? If it was bad fuel or water in tank, it wouldn't idle either.....My $.02 ...BobG in VA

I'm with you. I wouldn't touch it. I'd tell the dealer to come & get it, fix it, or give me my money back, and go buy another color.

With only 3 hours on your new tractor, I'd definitely give your dealer a chance to troubleshoot the trouble first. The fuel filters will be at your expense if you change them. If it is a KSB sensor that is faulty, I'd leave that alone for your dealer to look at too. There was probably no way the dealer could have found this problem predelivery but it still is a problem to you now and with only 3 hours on it. Good luck with your new machine - Clyde

The dealer picked it up this morning around 10:00 and had it back home around 3:00pm. I havent talked with them yet to see what the trouble was but Its fixed now.

I'm guessing that it couldnt have been to serious because they couldnt have worked on it no more than a couple of hours at the most.

Thanks for all the input
