This is getting way off track but a Suburban is basically a GM 1500 or 2500 series truck platform. They are basically identical underneath and from the drivers door forward.
Same goes for a Excursion, same as a F-250.
I do not see how these are any less durable as the truck cousins they have?:confused2:

What's less durable is the plastic crap and carpet found all over the back of excursions and suburbans that you wont have on a capped truck bed. Plastic doesnt take well to throwing in loads of firewood, or hunks of steel, and blood doesnt come out of carpet as well as washing out of a steel truck bed....
That's what he's talking about durability. Too much stuff to break, dirty, and damage inside of an SUV.
That, and the towing capacity isn't the same in an SUV as in the 1/2 or 3/4 ton trucks that they share parts with.
