Truck Leaking Green Liquid - Not Anitfreeze??

Some washer fluid is green, like DP said.

Was plowing my neighbors driveway yesterday while he and his wife were at work, noticed several drips of green fluid on the snow atop his garage pad, texted him with my phone advising him to check under his vehicles, then shoveled the green drips into a trash can in case they were antifreeze coolant, he has a pair of K-9 dogs and the coolant would be poisonous.

Turned out the drips were from his wife filling her cars washer fluid tank with washer antifreeze, but he was really grateful I noticed it and thought enough to let him know it might be a problem or a hazard to his pets.

I guess AC. That is the color of the dye that they put into systems to check for leaks. It shows best with a uz light bit will look green to the eye, a neon green. I get it in the recycler AC machine i have as well as on some of the fittings i have messed with. This is on all my personal stuff, not in the biz. But i did not think they did it at the factory, but i dont have any thing that new and dont keep up with what they do and dont do.

Not sure if your GM has a steering stabilizer or not, but I replaced the one on my F250 with one from o'reilly's a few years back and now it is leaking and it's a green colored oil in it. Just something else to check.

While we're still guessing, my air conditioning compressor was leaking in my (brand new) F350 (in 2004) and the liquid was neon green. So, I'm guessing A/C oil also.

I think 905 or better of the dye that they use in the AC system is green. Freon is colorless and oil is clear, the dye is waht colors it and it can be seen with your eye.

It's generally green...At least from my experience. A few drips would say that's what it could be, especially with Dex-Cool..If the defroster was run that would pressurize the AC. I'd try snugging up some of the hoses.

Thanks guys.

I washed the truck and parked it on fresh snow, letting it idle for about 10 minutes yesterday. No spots.

Been dealing with a leaky roof this weekend and a sick family member, so I haven't had much of a chance to diagnose the truck any further. Haven't drive it much either.

I'll look it over more tonight. I plan on running the A/C and watch for leaks and proper operation. Gotta get it ready for its annual inspection anyway.
