This project started with me coming across this unit a couple months ago.
I already did a dump trailer and have been working on the farm truck, after rebuilding the AC compressor I decided to make a hay mover for it that I could easily remove when not in use.
I came across this double acting cylinder with a bent shaft and decided it looked close to what I was looking for.
After straightening the shaft, I installed new o-rings and seals. I have a bunch of short -8 Aeroquip 3000 psi lines but the hydraulic unit uses metric fittings. So I just mated the pump side of their fitting to AN fittings I had in the drawer.
A couple gallons of fluid and a battery and I now have that part ready to go.
Aside from having both hydraulic connections at the same end this cylinder also has a pin off the face that can be depressed with an adjustable stop, on the shaft, I could use to adjust the stopping angle of the bale going up.
