Truck receiver

So my receiver showed up today in the mail, I'm excited to install it on the truck.

What brand of receiver did you buy? What truck is it on, what class receiver and what do you haul?

I ended up buying a receiver, trailer combo 4 and 7 pin, and a trailer break controller wiring kit.

The receiver I bought was kinda a Impulse buy lol and is a class 5 on a 1/2 ton pick up . I was after a class 4 but a 5 was $38 more lol.




This is the truck I'm fitting to properly hook trailers to, instead of off the bumper and no trailer hook ups. 81 F150

I got the receiver installed today, still working on wiring the trailer hook ups, I installed the trailer hook up combo but I didn't have what I needed to wire it up.

I just ordered a Reese 16k ball hitch and a 15k 2 5/16 Curt ball off Amazon. Local stores didn't have anything that heavy in 2in for my receiver. Total off Amazon $51

Total I'm about $300 but that's nothing compared to towing $30k of trailer and tractor.

Next is to wire my truck for a brake controller and hooking up the 7 pin and 4 pin trailer combo and I will be all set.
