I have been debating buying a crossover truck toolbox for my 2019 F150. I have searched around and found one that I am interested in at TSC. Does anybody have this box or do you have a different one that you "would buy again"?

I have it on my RAM 2500. I like it so far, it's noticably stronger than the Dee Zee one I had before that was a gullwing. This one a can stand on, and I really appreciate that welded on top thing that I can hook ratchet straps and bungees to. Overall, I'm really happy. 20200507_204626.jpg

I have the low profile version and like it well. It did not come with a tray, but TSC probably has them. It did not come with mounting hardware. I built my own.

I was hauling a riding mower and needed all of the short bed length.

Found this UWS wheel well tool box. It is made for the other side behind the wheel well in a long bed. Took measurements and it fit perfect on the drivers side in front of the wheel well:

Here’s my truck tool box. This is on the level of one of my better ideas. It’s WAY more convenient than a bed mounted one. If I wanted there’s room to mount another one on the other side. Yea sure I only have 2 seats now but that was a small price to pay.

Nice looking box. I'd recommend a tray - if it does not come OEM. My Taco Wagon has them built into the fenders.View attachment 655538

oosik, if I ever by a Ram I will definitely have that option. I wish all brands had those boxes.

These aren't cheap, but they will be around a while. The bright boxes have a clear coat that is tough to grind thru. I found this out modifying a large one to fit a 5.5' bed (cut out for wheel wells/weld pieces back in).

I finally got back around to the truck box. I went by the local dealer that sprayed by bed liner and priced a Master Guard. They are very expensive! He suggested a UWS which is what he sells the most of. It was quite a bit cheaper than the MG and a really nice box. Got it put on today. I will probably have it full tomorrow

Thanks for all of your replies.

Those are ingenious. I cant drive a pickup, must have bigger flatbeds, but if I could, those boxes are just perfect.

You better fix those gutters on that house behind your truck

I have spent years looking at other guy's pickup truck tool boxes. Chrome this, diamond plate that. Aluminum, thin tin. Dings or no dings, Tweaked hinges. broken latches. ....... On both of my trucks I go RK Heavy. Steel. USA. indestructible and last forever boxes.RKI - Commerical Grade Truck Equipment I've got one on a 94 truck and one on a 2014. Cheap, no. Best, yeppers in my book. Only thing close maybe the Weatherguard.

Must have tried a dozen different boxes on flatbeds, utility bodies and pickups. Yes, Weatherguard is excellent. I had their diamondplate black aluminum boxes on my last truck and they were fantastic. And heres the funny thing, I bought them well used. They still looked great. Paint never came off. Locks, hardware, hinges always worked perfectly. Worth the extra over the cheaper brands

Ranch Hand had some good ones that took the round padlocks. Really good. But I don't see tool boxes on the Ranch Hand website now.

RKI may have them. (EDIT: Does not appear that RKI has them.)

These are the only pics I can find of the round recessed lock receptacles and it looks like they are not taking any new orders.

Would have been a great time to add a box with a fuel tank....

I want to know why they don’t make the ramboxes for the duallys. There is so much wasted space over the dual rears. There could be huge tool boxes back there. You can’t reach over the fender into the bed anyway.

Or long bed ones!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have the full size one in my dually and its great. It has car door latches for the lid and makes it extremely secure and durable.
