Truck/Trailer Combo for Hauling TN75DA

if you aren't hauling ALL the time, a 14k trailer will do fine. (maybe right close to the limit, but fine)

Money no object, i'd like like a F550 class truck and not even think about it.

but, since that darn money thing gets in the way, I'd get a one ton. I think the dually wheels would help a lot over a SRA truck. (help spread the load out)

Shoot, the other day in my poor miserable sad 3/4 ton chevy (which everyone knows aren't as tough as the other maker's trucks), I had the tractor equipped at about 11,000lbs (don't ask), towing the trailer (another 4500/5000lbs) that had a broken spring on the brakes and one of the trailer brakes was on the entire time. (about 30 miles)

I didn't notice.

any of the newer trucks from the Big 3 are TOUGH.

I've got a MF471 4wd with front end loader. With the bush hog in place I suspect it's close to 10,000lbs. I haul it with my 98 dodge 2500 diesel and my gooseneck trailer. The trailer is 32' with a dovetail and has two 10,000lb axles. It's kind of overkill for my tractor but I bought it to haul my bulldozer and it does a fine job with the tractor. I also use it to haul around a JD4020 with a really heavy offset disc we have at deer camp. It does a great job with that also but the 4020 and disc have it pretty much loaded up to it's weight limit, it puts a bit of a strain on the truck. The 3/4 ton trucks will do fine but the one thing you have to remember with them is that the positioning of the tractor on the trailer is more critical than with a 1 ton. I can squat my truck quite a bit by having the tractor a foot or so too far forward where a 1 ton would take it in stride. If I balance the tractor correctly then it'll pull just as good as a 1 ton.

I thought I had posted this question somewhere, but perhaps I was interrupted and sent it into hyperspace ... I believe AndyMA might have the exact info ...

For a TN75 with loader, weighted wheels and a Woods 1050 or Bradco 611 hoe on the back, is there any issue getting onto a deckover gooseneck 2 axle with beavertail? Is there a preferred direction, like in reverse, for greater stability, and if so, how does this affect centering the load?

(hmmm, my recollection is that AndyMA might not have a deckover ... )
