I would imagine Bosch would be happy to sell you one of theirs.. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Funny thing about recip blades, one blade you may cut many feet with it and the next blade may cut 5 feet (or 5 cuts) with it before it breaks. Free blades are always good. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Besides, in a couple of months, Lenox or Milwaukee or Starrett will have their answer to this blade.

I know of no other product besides power tools (make that tools period) with more competition between the brands.

Step right up folks get your Free Blades.
(Someone ought to PM wroughtnharv about the offer) /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Guy's, this post just caught my attention at an opportune moment.
I bought an 18v Dewalt Recip saw off e-bay yesterday. I didn't really need it, but hey the price seemed good, and it had been previously mentioned on this forum how this was a "must have" tool. Never can have too many tools, right /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Now I'm starting to wonder. Is a cordless much use /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
I have no worries that Dewalt is a very good brand, and I thought the cordless would be much handier for working on a roof or pruning a branch etc, but will I be complaining about lack of power and the life of the battery in a week or two's time.

It's too late now of course, I've bought it, but the question still deserves an answer /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

I have several 12V and 14V DeWalt tools, and find them to be so handy I seldom run anything on electricity - except for my Milwaukee Sawzall the past couple weeks ripping out a shower and toilet room to replace with new. The two batteries allow me to run continuously, while one charges faster than the other runs down.

I expect you will like the 18V real well, and that outside chore with branches and taking the Christmas tree down will be a cinch. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Hi Vodoo...I've got a penchant for tools of mass destruction so I've got one of each...battery and plug in. The battery operated (19.2V) seems to have plenty of power and with a spare battery pack I've never run out of juice to complete a job. Is does a fine job as long as the blade is nice and sharp. The plug in model (a DeWalt) is a workhorse. If I've got a big job to do where I've got easy access to an outlet, I normally grab this one. If its a small job, or if I don't have access to A.C. then the job goes to the portable unit. Every once in a while, I can't decide and I've got one in each hand....then WATCH OUT!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I have a 18 volt De Walt Recip Saw that I purchased on eBay with a charger and two batteries for $99 last year. Don't you just love the great deals that you can find on eBay??? It is a power house of a saw and easy to change the blades. I like it better than the corded Milwaukee since it is easier to grab and run than to dig out a extension cord. Enjoy your new tool.. Junk....

Thanks guy's for all the replies. Very reassuring.
Now I just have to wait until it arrives in the mail, charge the battery and set about demolishing the nearest 4x2. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Junk,

I do most of my "essential" buying on e-bay these days.
Ask my wife how essential all the tools in the shed are /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

The biggest problem with e-bay as we all know is the instant gratification. Oh I need that, I think thats a bargin, a small bid won't do any harm etc.. etc..

Boy between it and TBN it's cost me a fortune the past few years. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
