I didn't get any response on the JD part of this forum, so I thought I would ask the same question here. "My 4110 has a lever to raise and lower the three point. When new, I could adjust the height of the blade by setting the lever at any point along the travel path of the lever. Now, I have to pull the lever at least halfway up to get the blade to move. ( same going down) Any thoughts?" Or maybe I should ask if anyone knows of any adjustments? Thanks.

There is a valve below the seat of Kubotas that allow you to decrease and stop oil flow to the 3ph. Perhaps you have something similar and it is adjusted to restrict the flow of oil?

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I have a similar control, but all that does is control the speed of the drop. I tried it again, just to be sure. Nada. The blade goes all the way up and down, but once it hits "6" ( the adjustments are numbered 10 to 0) itis all the way down and likewise you have to get between 5 and 6 to start to raise it.

The three point lever bolts directly to another link that is "clamped" in place. My first check would be there it has probably slipped into another location on the control shaft

ctiguy, I checked that out, but the shaft that the clamp is on has a flat spot and so does the clamp--can't slip. Also, there doesn't seem to be any other adjustment in the rest of the linkage. Back to square one...........

Don't forget the blade is off the ground to start with. Put the lever all the way down and move fwd real slow and it should go all the way down. Then when you move the lever the 3pt well move as soon as you move it. If the grader blade is on the ground ,say at #5 move to #4 and when you move fwd it well drop the blade some.

Do you have a draft sense control lever on that model? If so make sure it is at zero.

I apologize if my question is stupid - have you by any chance adjusted the top link of your 3 point a lot? If I have the top link on my Kubota as short as possible, the 3 point will go all the way to the bottom and the blade won't touch the ground. If I have the top link adjusted all the way out, the blade will be on the ground when my control lever is about mid-range and will not begin to raise until I reach 5 to 6 out of a 0 to 10 range. Just a thought of what duplicates what you are seeing when I think about my tractor.

I recommend you take the implement off the tractor and adjust the linkage for a full range of motion. Mine is doing the same thing lately and I need to do this myself before the next use grading. I think it is a linkage adjustment issue, pretty common too.

Have you checked the linkage between the lever and the the valve actuator on the transmission to see if there is any slop? Sometimes a worn pivot or pin joint can create a "dead zone" in a control linkage.

You won't get the full range out of your lift arms with a blade hooked up. If you want the arms to lower all the way, unhook the implement. A blade usually starts to lift off the ground about at #4 - #6, depending on the setting of the top link.

Well, I checked out all the options listed here to no avail. I think heviduty is right. No matter what I do, it won't start to lift until around 5. Thanks for all the help.

I am no expert, but I think it won't lift until 5 because it is already that high. In order to get to 1 you need to be able to get lower than the arms are attached to the blade.

With an implement connected and on the ground, look at your lift arms, they are about half way up. Remove the implement and the arms can move through their full 1 - 10 range. With no implement, you may have to push them down with your foot to get them all the way down. Your control lever actually controls the maximum down setting, the arms are free to move up.
