I use my 3 pt hitch a great deal and I found I always had trouble "finding it" without looking because it was a little low for me. I extended it up 6 inches and now it is easy to find and sits just below my joystick head. To try out this idea you can take a 9 inch long piece of 1 1/4" plastic pipe and just slip it over the head of the 3 pt lever. If you like it you can later make a permanent extension or just slip the pipe on when you are going to use it a lot.
Try it, you will like it. Frank

Frank, that sounds like a really clever solution to your problem. Did you make a permanent extension? Does the extra leverage also give you finer control of the lever? /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Yes- after trying it I made a permanent lever out of 2 pieces of plywood which bolt together over the lever. I did not want to weld on an extension but this wood lever extension works and yet the next owner can put it back to orriginal. The longer lever also makes it much eisier to feather the adjustment to the right height and my hand does not have to travel far from the joystick to the 3pt lever. Frank
