I live in Washington state and the dealer here is asking $22,000 for the 230 FEL, and the 7foothoe with the 24" bucket (5 welded teeth). That seems incredibly too high for me after reading other post. Did you guys jew him down or is this dealer just out of his mind? This is after tax and after the rebate w/o including the financing or anything.

Jon, I will look tonight to see what I was quoted on the ct235 with 6 backhoe. I think it was somewhere around 19900 but let me check to make sure. Ended up getting the ct440 plus 8tb backhoe 24800 out the door cash price. Either way No one (in my opinion) can touch bobcats pricing right now by far. I'll hit you back tommorrow.

$17000-$18000 is a good price. Tell him to take $3600 off for the FREE FEL and give you the $3500 rebate and you will be at a good price.

My CA dealer quoted me:
$20,400 for including FEL, 6' Box Scraper & 6' Rotary Cutter for a CT230 before the $3500 rebate and tax. Seems high.

Jon, my original quote was $13200.00 for the CT235 with the FEL. Total with the 6TB backhoe would have been $19,900.00 out the door. Sounds like he's not doing his best.

Hi Chazzy - I'm also looking for a CT230. I just came from the local dealer & he really quoted me a high price. After backing out tax & a post hole digger he wanted almost $22.5K for it with a FEL with quick release and a backhoe.

Problem is I am going to have to travel to get a better price so I would rather negotiate with him if I had some real knowledge of what that unit could really be bought for. Certainly there is some premium I am willing to pay for local support but I think we passed that number by quite a bit.

Goldwing,
I was just in a same situation as you are in now less than a week ago. Now I've talked to 5 different BC dealers and have some knowledge to share.

When you try to get a quote, tell the dealer you want an itemized "written" quote either email or fax to you.

Since there are various types and brands for the attachments, it would be difficult to do a fair comparison if you get a single price for everything. But an itemized quote will exactly show you how much the tractor alone (& everything else) the dealer is charging you.

For me, the lowest quote I got for a CT230 w/ a free FEL I got was 11,900 and the highest was 12,500 from southern Calif dealers. And some deales would deliver for free. So, ask for it.

ps. What year wing do you have, 1500 or 1800?
