What do you plan on using it for, they are a great tractor but most New Hollands are, easy to use, plenty of power for its size and its the great blue color.

I am looking for a tractor that i can adapt to work in vineyards, mostly pulling sprayers, driving mechanical pruners etc...

Look at the TN 75F or TN 90F, http://www.newholland.com/na/Products/tnf.html most of the grape farmers and orchard farmers use these tractors for sprayers. They are powerful and small to go under low branches. Case has a CX90 I think that is converted to an orchard tractor and it is a powerful tractor. The TS series would probally be to big for what you want you can see it here: http://www.newholland.com/na/Products/ts.html

"They are powerful and small to go under low branches."

Robert, your grapes and fruit trees must grow quite different then those out here in California. I live in the foothills east of Sacramento where there are still many small orchards. At one time our area was the fruit basket of the world, but growing fruit in the flat valley was much more economical. I'm not to far from the Napa valley and have yet to see a row of vines that you could get the tractors you picture under. The orchards would not accomodate the tractor you picture. I'm curious about the growth of various fruit trees and grape vines in the NY area. Many sprayers/foggers have integral motors to run the pump and blower requiring no PTO. We don't see tractors with cabs, roll bars and exhaust stacks out here working the orchards. Once the trees get loaded with fruit, its tough to get a saddle tractor under those branches. I figure you must have been showing an example of a NH tractor rather then a particular model to use for the poster of the question. Right now our orchards are producing nectarines. Cherries are about done, and the peaches & apricots will be in shortly. Rat...

The top picture is a TN 75F which is what most grape farmers use in Western NY. The lower picture is a TS series tractor that I said would probally be to big for what the person who started this thread wanted. Our grapes are run in a straight line with the shoots just tied to the middle wire. We do not run an umbrella system except in some wine fields. Most of our area's grapes go to Welch's for jam. You can get any tractor that is 5'-6' wide down the rows but the TN-75F and John Deere 5420N are both 5 foot wide with cabs. Our orchards are spread out so that you can get these tractors through also and most of the trees here are dwarf trees which are small so we use mostly the same equipment between grapes and apples.

Gudday Mick,I don't know where in Oz you are but I would have thought the TS series would be too large for vinyard work,if you have a local N/H dealer that knows the product range he should be able to advise you on the most suitable tractor for your needs. I always thought orchard & vineyard tractors were a specialised machine but having been out of the farm equipment industry for some time I maybe wrong as usual.Let me know what you find out please.Kerry.
