I know what you mean about the heat. I lived in Tampa for 7 years then moved to KY a few years ago to help care for elderly parents. I now live in the sticks. I do not miss the heat nor the traffic and other urban problems of tampa. I only miss some friends and the bikini views /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif But then along with the bikini views come the pot bellied old men in their speedos /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I grew up down there and you survive by sweating, slowing way down and occassionally just finding a cool spot (relatively speaking) and shutting down until it cools off a bit. Really its the high amt of moisture in the air thats the killer. I lived in NM and the dry heat was far more bearable.

As for TSC up here there is a TSC type store up in Boscowen. He was at the NH Expo this past winter. I think I have the contact info at home and if youre interested I can pass it on. OTOH one of the first field trips I take when I visit home is the local TSC. Its just fun to look!

I got one too for this weekend. I have reserved a KK box frame disc and will pick it up in Kirksville, Mo. Friday. Too bad there's a $50 max limit. I also got another coupon for July 14-21.

How come my coupons from TSC get lost in the mail?????? I need a new spreader ... real bad ... and they know where I live!!!!!

I came from a country where 70 degrees in the summer was a "heat wave". If it ever hit 80, people were fainting from heat stroke. I've lived in Texas for 20 years now and never have become accustomed to the heat. You go outside, work, get soaking wet and stay that way until you go back inside. It's just a fact of life. Whoever invented A/C should get the Nobel Prize.

By the way, don't believe all that low humidity, dry heat stuff. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I worked in New Mexico and Nevada and 110 degrees in the shade is still fri##*** HOT no matter what the humidity is. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif Same goes for Wyoming in the winter. 40 degrees below zero is painful, it hurts, and it doesn't matter that the humidity is zero.

If I could just find a place where it was 75 degrees year round I would be willing to move. Anyone know of someplace? Don't say California! I worked there too and didn't leave anything behind worth going back to get. TSC supposidly has a store planned for Enfield CT and one in Mass. Question as to when they are opening. I called them and they do not franchise. I have no doubt that NE can support several. We have a ton of tractor dealers.

My father-in-law lives for the time being in Belleview, FL. he has his house for sale after the passing of my mother-in-law last month. When I say the Kubota dealership in Leesburg I recognized the name from this website.

The heat sure causes some people to expose more of their skin to the sun. I must admit some people are just not suited for some of the clothing styles out there today.

I will have to check out TSC in NH, I was at the Expo in Manchester, NH last Febuary but do not remember seeing their display.

BTW the last two days here in NH temps were in the 50's at night and 75+ during the day - beautiful weather in my opnion.

I called TSC and they indicate that they are going to be opening a store about an hour away this summer. I am looking forward to driving over to do a bit of shopping. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Weather wise we have been blessed this summer so far. Nothing like 20 consecutive days of over 100 with most being over 105 and many over 110 to send me into the house( or the new TSC). It's not too bad where we live because it usually is a dry heat but in the central valley it gets uncomfortable when they flood irrigate. Then that 110 is no longer a dry heat....
