I have been looking for TSC’s Web Site for Canada for some time. Finally ran across it. For the Canadian members and others visiting Canada. Check it out <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.tscstores.com>here</A>.
They are adding stores all over Ontario.
The last time I was visiting a friend in Bowmanville (east of Oshawa) they were building a new store at Liberty St. and the 401.
Looks like TSC is expanding in Canada to. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

There have been TSC stores in Ontario for at least 30 years that I know of, probably more. They do offer an interesting variety of merchandise at very competitive prices.

TSC's newly opened store in Peterborough was a bit disappointing - I went in looking for some info on hydraulic parts and cylinders. I walked up and down every aisle in the store (just curious to see what they had) and passed the service desk at least 3-4 times. I was not approached by any of the 5 or 6 staff in the store to see if I needed assistance. My sense was there were more staff than (potential) customers in the store at the time. By contrast, on my first trip to Princess Auto last week (Barrie, Ontario), even though they were short staffed due to illness, there was always someone there to ask if I needed help.

An interesting and not so subtle difference in determining my satisfaction level.

After my first experience a coupl eof weks ago I like Princess Auto except I have to drive an hour or two to get to their closest stores - west end of Toronto or Barrie . Good service in the Barrie store. - the staff seems very young (probably 'cause I'm not) but they were very helpful and when they didn't know, they found out. I'll be going back there.

I just downloaded Princess Autos catalog in pdf form from their website. It is very comprehensive. I see a trip to them in the near future /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Do you guys have UFA out there in Ontario?

Next time I’m London I’ll have give them a try.
From the map it looks like it’s not far from the TSC store in south London.

Yes, and I have used their mail order but it just isn't as much fun as walking up and down those aisles and actually putting your hands on these items - also, they have some really good in store specials.

Not that I know of - what are they? where are they? do they have a catalogue?
