TSC Grand Opening?

Hi Folks,
I've come to learn that there is going to be a new Tractor Supply opening in McKinney, Texas sometime this summer. Has anyone ever been to a TSC grand opening? Are there lots of deals, especially on implements? I'll be needing a new rotary cutter soon, and was thinking I might wait and pick one up there at a bargain price.

Bought a fertilizer spreader - saved about $80 due to sale and an extra 10% when using a TSC charge + 6month free financing at Warrenton, VA's grand reopening. I remember the bigger implements had some good savings, too. Great time to buy stuff, especially if you don't have the cash now. Or, even if you have the cash and you want it to earn some interest.

TSC has gone down here since they purchased the country store. THe weekend sales have almost been eliminated with no competition. NOw they have nationwide discounts.

TSC opened in two locations locally that used to belong to Quality. Prices are higher than Quality's were. I used to buy feed from Quality. Not from TSC. I didn't see anything special about the grand openings. It almost seemed like an after thought. I didn't see any pricing that grabbed my eye. When I can buy similar stuff from a one outlet local feed store cheaper, I don't buy much from TSC.

Quality seemed to have a better selection plus more American made stuff. I used to enjoy visits to Quality. Not so much with TSC.

I attended Grand Open of a TSC store in Bowmanville, Ontario, Canada a little over a year ago. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif They had a Canadian Country singer as an attraction. Traffic was backed out onto the 401 Expressway. Couldn’t get close enough to get into store. Retuned the following day to check out the deals. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif Most items that were on sale were still available. If you don’t like a lot of traffic, wait a day before checking out the sales. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

On a side note Princess Auto is opening a new store in London, Ontario, Canada May 13th. Last Grand Opening they had created the same type of traffic jams that the TSC store created. The only difference is the crowd was there for the items on sale. Princess Auto Click Here.
