Has anyone bought the Tractor Supply Company post hole digger or 3 point hitch mounted log splitter. They both seem pretty reasonable in price and would make a nice addition to a BX15 that I'm planning to buy. THanks.

Someone reported to me that they had the TSC splitter and that it worked just fine. Seems to be a pretty good splitter for the price. John

I use the splitter almost daily splitting the slabs off of my sawmill...some have complained that it is slow, but it goes as fast as I want to work and has never failed to split anything that I have placed in the cradle...

Compared to a stand alone unit I can handle it being a bit slow since its alot less money. Besides its something else to use on the tractor.

I have a TSC (Speeco) post hole digger with a 6" and 12" auger.
I works fine, but I'm not sure a BX 3 point is going to have the lift height needed to raise the auger off the ground.

I have a TSC post hole digger. It is several years old. Its been used for building 3 decks, a couple minor fencing projects, and a couple hundred holes for planting bushes and trees. I've got 9" and 12" auger bits. It has performed flawlessly so far.

But I will second Vince's concern that the BX may not have the lift height to easily handle the PHD because of the length of the auger bits.

Maybe you just have to use the shorter bits on the digger. I'm not really sure how long a standard bit is. I just need it for a fence so 20" to 28" would be fine. I better ask the dealer.

Its a Kubota BX15. I'm not sure why its considered to small. The dealer has a PHD on one at the shop, but others on the TBN are telling me its too small a tractor.
