Take a look at the pictures from the 'speeco mods' post just below your question. Notice the three holes (or sets of holes) in the boom that the 'U' attaches to? I bored another hole set about 2 inches closer to the tractor (away from the power head). Works the same as his mod and it only needs an electric drill and a 3/4" bit (I used one of those stepped bits).

Before I modified myphd to fit my Kubota 4310 I backed it on three 2 by10s stacked together both rear tires that gave me enough clearence to drill the hole , just make sure the planks are long enough to clear the hole when you drive away. Also I only had to drill one hole at the time I woudnt want to do it for too many holes , kinda a pain in the neck doing it alone . My wife kinda hit the mailbox with the snowblower, and she wasnt snowblowing , just driving by it. Wayne
