A closeup view - The big pipe is the low-pressure return and the small pipe underneath is the high-pressure feed - Correct?

There you go. Now you can trace that line to place that is easy to cut and put in your adapters. I have seen compression adapters and weld on adapters. The weld on were actually threaded plugs drilled out to fit over the pipe and then welded / brazed.

Hi,Chris! I've got the TU155F too and have the same wish to add connectors to standard hydraulic system,could You share Your experience,how did You do that,with pictures?
