We have 4 of them in our house. To put it mildly they are one of the best add-on features we did to our home. During the summer months heat gain/loss isnt even worth mentioning.
we have 2 of them in the kitchen/family room area and it lights it up really well. We have 1 in the laundry room and 1 in the bathroom. Funny thing is the bathroom and laundry room dont have windows and at first we always thought we left the lights on. Sometimes when we have people over and its cloudy the light will go up and down, they'll look around like we have a power surge going on not realizing we having solar tubes in.
