I need a canopy top for my MF1533 that I can mount some work lights on the front and back of. From the pictures on the Tuff Top site it doesn't look like this top will work for that. Has anyone tried to moun lights on their Tuff Top?

John,
You need a WellsAg aluminum or steel canopy. The steel is painted; the aluminum is diamond plate. Both have an angle iron frame and are insulated to cut down on the noise. Bird (did have), myself and some more here have or had them.

I really like mine. I bought a TuffTop XL direct from TuffTop's web site. I have several photos.

Make sure you keep the knobs tight that hold it in place. I hit a large bump while traveling down a road and it tilted down and hit my head! Didn't hurt too bad!

I bought one for my B7510HST last June at Tractor Supply Co ($265). Easy to install. Easy to remove. Pretty tough. I've whacked it numerous times working near my almond trees and it's still OK.

Here is the TBN Link

I have to agree with most everything said. I needed my wife to help assemble, my two hands weren't quite enough /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif. I've also whacked a few branches without mishap /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif. I've also done the bumpy road, hit on the head routine /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
When I put my backhoe on again I intend to flip canapoy around to see how it works that direction.

Look at the post with Photo No. 2 by ksmmoto. It shows a practical way to add front and rear lights with the TuffTop Canopy. You just mount them on the ROPS.

You could mount front lights on the 2 steel stringers and use quick disconnects on the wires. Remember, one of the most useful features of the TuffTop canopy is the ability to very quickly remove and reinstall it for transport or when working around trees. With lights mounted on the stringers it would be a bit more difficult and time consuming than without them.

I am looking for one for my 3830, which size did you get ? That looks like a nice setup... I saw they have a larger one and a smaller one, didn't know which fits our tractor better? How does it do for the rain? that is my primary objective of getting a canopy, to help a little with the downpours....

I asked the company about this. Basically it seems the smaller version is intended for riding lawn mowers and very small tractors. Most CUTs would use the larger XL version.
