I would get the Tundra as long as you are towing 10,000 lbs or under. Make sure your trailer has electric brakes.
If you are over 10,000 lbs then look at the Ford or Chevy 3/4 ton trucks and maybe a diesel options.
I also agree have the dealer take the truck to you house an tow your trailer. You will tell what one works best.
Dodge got it almost right but it's hard to tow 9200 when you can even put 800 lbs in the bed of a loaded crew cab.
Well I want to the Toyota dealership here by the house and looked at all the tundra's they had and brought a demo model home and hooked the trailer to it...the tundra handled the load well with about 7500 lbs behind it...I was actually surprised at the stability it had when pulling the load and stopping...I can only imagine that it will handle better with my gooseneck instead of the bumper pull I was using...I'm going to check out a silverado later on in the week and see how the two compare...
16.4 mpg is exactly what I'm getting with my Tundra for everyday city/highway driving which is 99% of my use. It drops down to about 8 mpg hauling my 9,000 lb load which only happens a few times a year.
