Sound like a good possibility...weights on rears easy to remove? Cost...I'm guessing maybe a couple hundred?

wheel weights are easier to remove than ballast inside the tires that's for sure..

Yeah, and if your back is as bad as mine, pick up one of those cheaper engine hoists at Harbor Freight for installing and removal.

yep.. cherry picker.. or chain hoist from a tree limb. both would work good.

It would be nice if you could dedicate one piece of equipment to each task but most people can't do that so narrow down just what you need the tractor to do the mojority of the time. I bought my JD 3520 for everything to do with landscaping and lawn aerating/overseeding and got the R4's. I do have zero-turn mowers because thats my business but if my tractor was going to be my only equipment for mowing I would have gone with the turfs and made due with their performance in other situations. No matter what you use to cut grass or anything else you still have to do it under the right conditions, its either the right time or it isn't.

I took advice like that once...
After I woke up and moved the tree limb off my chest (don't worry....my head broke the fall!) and had the x-rays and one day hospital stay (the concussion, y'know), I went out and bought that engine stand.
See, I'm taller then the engine stand, so I don't have to worry about something falling on my head...now, I just need to get the steel toed boots...
This is just a fable, of course...just make sure any branch you rig to is healthy and stout enough to handle the weight

Another thing that people seem to forget is, not all tires of a certain type are created equal. There are different grades and load ratings even for turf tires. I found that my fronts are available in either 4-ply or 6-ply. The 6-ply has a significantly higher load rating.
