I'd like to know what is 'generally acceptably in terms of turning with ground engaging equipment 'engaged'

eg... truning with disc down to work around trees etc..

any thoughts on other equupment ,,, blades and such dont really seem to be an issue turning with equipment in engaged.

I managed to twist a box blade scarfier when it got tangled up on a tight turn. Now I pick it up when turning.

Ground engaging implements are designed to run in a straight line. Or I should say your tractor's 3ph is designed to run these in a straight line. Any time you try to turn with one down, it is going to put a sideways stress on your 3ph. If the ground is really soft, you might get away with gentle sweeping turns, but I would not overdo it.
