Kubota BX25
Hello everyone. Total tractor newbie here with some newbie questions.

I've got a Kubota BX25 with a New Holland flail mower I just attached to it (model 918L, 50"). I believe I have it hooked up and adjusted properly. It's pretty firmly attached to the tractor. Hardly any sway when I tug on the lifted mower. I've only tested it out by mowing about 100 feet. Seems to be working fine. My question is, just how much of a turn should I be able to make with this thing while mowing? I'm guessing not much at all. It seemed to resist turning with what little turning I tried during testing. Is this thing going to be good for pretty much just mowing in a straight line?

Next Q: Can I replace all the cotter pins on the 3-pt hitch with hairpins?

Another: How much of an incline should I be able to safely mow, back & forth, not up & down? It seems even a little bit of a tilt and I'm getting nervous. While I'm asking, how much of an incline can I mow going up & down?

One more: I've had to cut the drive shaft to the mower, and with the mower on the ground and adjusted level, I have 3.5 inches of the inner plastic sleeve showing under the outer sleeve. The shafts themselves are cut 3/4" longer than the sleeves. Is this about right?
