I have a cab on mine and I figure the slash tip will point to the left side.
This will be a fall project.

I turned up the fuel a bit on my L39 Kubota.

Results were a slight by measurable increase in torque, minimal increase in peak power. Just a faint hint of smoke under heavy load. I sure would like to know how to get more out of it.

I have turned/cranked up the fuel pump on my CK30 Gear. 2010 model. Over 700hrs since and no problems.
The + : lots more power, No more bogging down, rarely use the low now.
More Hp at the PTO, I no longer have to stop or slow down when blowing snow.
The - : Takes as much fuel as my dad's DK45SEC Hydro.
The loader is black from all the smoke.
Thats pretty much it, as much as i can think of.

Could you please explain how you did that? I'm sure a lot of folks would like to know.

Ritchey> you seem to be misinformed. The injection pump is an entity unto itself, and limited by the screw the engine manufacturer installs. Not adjusted on a bench by the injection pump folks. When you send a pump in for service, the screw stays in the engine block.
The pump folks SETS the fuel at full and CHECKS idle and starting. The full load fuel SCREW is set by the engine manufacturer at the factory. Due to gear train wear, fuel quality and injector condition, the fuel may not be getting a complete burn, hence the need to
"turn it up".. I'm not saying this is the correct method to remedy a low power condition, I'm just answering the question asked..
You are correct in the effective plunger stroke.. and too much fuel will actually lower the hp of the engine by flooding it w/ fuel.

I have never heard of "lowering" hp on a diesel by adding to much fuel with a stock IP or even a mildly modified one. When a diesel begins to run to rich, EGT's can creep up quick, but HP never goes down. On a gas engine you will loose power, but not on a compression ignition.

Is this normal for the blower or loader to be black from the smoke at start up. My blower is black from that I just hope it is not a malfunction of the engine. Any thought on this or to prevent it.

I park with the bottom of the loader vertical (cutting edge resting on floor) as it seems to belch the black smoke at start-up.............helps some but I think that cutting the tip off of the exhaust pipe, and welding it back on after turning it clockwise to direct the exhaust in a more downward direction is the answer.........just haven't taken the time to get it done.......yet!

I lay my loader down like you do all the time. I think the reason why I see the black ( soot) is mostly on my front blower as it is orange and of course it shows more than the loader which is all black. I have cut off the tip and re-welded it at a downward position but somehow still blackens the blower but not as much as before, Will have to try a different position till I get it right.

This is very interesting and awesome! First I have heard of on a CK tractor. I was under the impression it was not possible with this type of pump. Do you think you could help us out with instructions on how you did it so we can try it to?
