turning with implements on the ground

That's for ground engaging implements. For floating or wheeled implements like cutters, it's not necessary.
Cripes, I don't know how I got involved in this. I already stated lifting is for ground engaging implements. My question was "tongue in cheek".

Besides, the article shows a three point with a horizontal draw bar too.

Yu may cant make full turns with a disc or moldboard etc but you can swerve a little bit before you after to raise it . **** that one reason they made gps lol

This is at the point of ridiculous.

Anything 3pt attached is a more rigid piece than something tongue-attached. No tractors' 3pt linkage is indestructible. Use your head. A 3pt mounted plow, disc, riser, no-till, etc will not turn a corner while fully engaged. Simple laws of physics and Newton and Einstein, etc. You lift these implements on corners and turns.

A shredder or bush-hog or brush cutter or topper (all the same thing) is not a ground-engaging tool. Do not drop them to the runners and just take off. Look over your shoulder. Watch them. Pay some attention. Your 3pt arms should not be shifting hard left/right and or binding the PTO while going about your business.

Tongue/drag implements are a little different. Not always. You just have to know them.
