Two questions I have

Low fluid level will cause a sound anytime you turn the wheel.

The relief valve will make a noise when the steering rod is at it's limit.

Power steering suction leak will make a noise caused by mixing air and fluid. .

Well thats the thing...my fluid level is full. Thats the first thing I checked. Then the other thing is its not turned to full lock. It just happens when the steering is turned fast in either direction. Unless the steering has a seperate reservoir.

Mine will make that groan regardless of operating temperature. But every time I turn the wheel fast...
I spoke with my dealer on Friday and he was unsure of the cause - his mechanic was gone for the day when I called.
I'll be calling again tomorrow to remind him of the conversation - we'll see!

Please let me know what they say.

Some tractors have a separate tank for the steering.

Go to the steering cyl and follow the hoses/valve and check for a small reservoir.

I will do that this afternoon. But I called myself doing a once over and I think it only uses one. I know it has a seperate litte pump for the steering I do believe. I know its pretty compact in there. I would hate to work on it.
