I know it might sound as though I am kissing up, but after spending many hours reading (and posting) to TBN, I have the utmost respect for your opinions. That being said, I would like to know what you all think I should do after getting the following quotes from two dealers:

Dealer A:
B7610HSD-F 4x4 with LA352 FEL $13,900
B4672 BH with 12" bucket $6,000
Total before tax $19,900

Dealer B:
B7610HSD-F 4x4 with LA352 FEL $13,531
B4672 BH with 12" bucket $6163
Delivery $95
Total before tax $19,889

I really want to buy from dealer A as he has been highly recommended by several people (including some on TBN). Do I just go with it or do I try to get him to lower his price on the tractor and FEL?

Price is negelegable so I would go with the dealer who has had the best customer service.

MABEY I am missing somethig? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif but from the Totals you posted, you are talking an $11.00 difference, whats to decide?

Sorry if I was a little confusing. Basically I wanted to know if I should be satisfied with dealer A's quote or if I should point out to him that the quote on the tractor and FEL from dealer B is lower. I understand that the totals are about the same and that dealer A's BH price is lower, but do you think that dealer A would come down on his tractor/FEL price? My buddy thinks I should try to get a better deal from dealer A. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif With all due respect, you've done your comparison shopping and gotten two darn near identical quotes... just go with the dealer that makes you most comfortable with regard to service after the sale, dealership size or longevity - whatever. And, if you 'have' to, spend the extra $11 secure in the knowledge that the higher profit margin might help insure your new dealer's presence 4-5 years down the road when you really need that part or service ASAP. Commodity pricing aside, IMO there exists a much greater value to a satisfactory dealer relationship than can be quantified by a mere $11. Heck, your first tank of fuel is gonna cost you more than that...

Last Nov, 04, while I was shopping, my dealer offered the same set up for 18,900. This is mid missouri and prices may be different or the price may have gone up. I suggest you shoot him a price of 19,000. The worst he can do is say no, refuse to sell you any thing at any price and black ball you so you have to go buy an 8n or something worse.
