Two types of hydraulic steering?

/ Two types of hydraulic steering? #11
There are actually 4 types of hydraulic power steering:

This has been the most common type of steering in cars and trucks.

There are some tractors which have linear valves on the pitman arm coming off a manual gear instead of having a rotary valve, but the principles are the same.

Could we return to steering systems fitted to TRACTORS?

I really don't care about old Dodge applications. Though interesting.

There a few different sytems used on equipment even in the hydrostatic (fully hydrulic) systems, I can't remeber all the particularities of them but for the orbital valve the main difference is whether it is load reactive or not.

Automotive applications don't really apply at all to equipment, most linkage based steering on newer equipment uses a torque generator that goes between the manual steering box and steering wheel to provide the assist.
