TYM 10 series - Check front axle mount bolts

Found the 2 bolts that mount the rear of the front axle to the chassis out and gone today. The only thing holding the axle forward was the end of the front drive shaft, allowed the axle to move back .25". Drive shaft onnecting collar retainer was already broken from the pressure. Doesn't appear to be any collateral damage, will take it back to the dealer Monday for repairs. Just wanted to pass a heads up to others.

2 months ago while changing the oil, trans. greasing all fittings on my 3510, found 1 bolt half way out. If my memory serves me correctly. this was on the back side of the front axle. Scared the **** out of me, thinking what could have happened with a heavy load in the fel. Always do a quick visual during oil change, but now a visual underneath the tractor after any hard use. Bolt is where the front axle pivots.

dieselsmoke, thanks for the 'heads-up'! I just went out to look mine over (or rather under) and all looked fine assuming your talking about the two large bolts bolting upward from the front axle into the frame. In fact, mine has locking tabs (if that's the proper term) that keeps the two bolts from backing out. Danny

I just went out to look mine over (or rather under) and all looked fine assuming your talking about the two large bolts bolting upward from the front axle into the frame. In fact, mine has locking tabs (if that's the proper term) that keeps the two bolts from backing out. Danny
