Holy crap, they renamed the 4820, the 5025. It’s still there, under a new name
I saw a video from a YouTuber. Supposedly it was to make them all make sense. He thought it was series first, but that no longer makes sense. They had a 2515 with cab, but it was called something else. They seem to have innovated. Added the 3pt adjustment arm and a fine tuner, too.

That covers the larger filter. I'm talking about this one:

The transmission oil filter can be seen further back and lower.

There are two drain plugs under the tractor:

I'm guessing the second one is the HST fluid.

The questions that remain:
1. Where to fill it?
2. What type of fluid?
3. How much?
4. How often?

I told you where to fill it. There is ONE reservoir for HST/Transmission/Hydraulics. It's a very bright orange breather/fill cap, rear right on the tractor. Type of fluid is in the video posted, as well as the quantity. Also, you have a sight glass on the rear of the tractor to reference fill level. The manual is on the TYM site with all of this information. It's the same user manual that came win my 4820H

This is straight from my manual.

I think the confusion is, you think that there different reservoirs…? The HST, transmission and hydraulics all pull from the same resevoir. It holds a little over 10 gallons, and the sight glass will help with fine tuning that.

I agree; that's directly from the manual. Reposting the same information that ignores the second filter and drain plug is not helpful. I'm not talking about that drain or filter.

Look at the pictures I posted of my tractor and compare. This is a different filter and drain plug I am seeking information about.

I'm talking about the HST oil filter TA00043153C. It is pictured as item 21 in the parts catalog and included in the complete filter kit.

I figured out this is the HST oil filter because of the parts catalog. It is not mentioned in the owner's manual or service videos.

There are two yellow drains under my 5520CH. One is well documented as the transmission drain, and the other has no information I can find.

Can anyone explain this filter and the second yellow drain plug?

Should I just be opening the second drain plug and replace both filters when doing this service?

You only need to drain from the lower plug. They drain the same reservoir, so the lower of the two would make more sense. But why not open both?
It would make sense to replace both filters when doing the service, since they both filter the same fluid from the same reservoir.

I guess it's hard for me to see the confusion. I just assumed since it's the same reservoir, the one, and lowest drain is the most effective, and any filter that touches that same fluid, should be changed at the same time. At least that's how I did mine. Since the HST fluid is the transmission fluid, the intervals and quantity in the manual would apply to the HST

It looks like one drain would allow you to keep some fluid, if only changing one of the filters, since the drains seem to be on separate levels, as are the filters.

On my similar tractor, the two drain plugs should both be opened.

Same thing, one reservoir for all transmission/hydraulic fluid. Fill for the reservoir is in the back as indicated.

Two HST filters, a big one and a smaller one. Change both.

The confusion is the fact that there are two filters and two drain plugs on the hydro models, while only one filter and one drain are even mentioned in the manual and service video.
