So outside temps are rising. Hopped into my T474 shuttle shift cab and turned on the AC. AC light didn't light and no blower. No power to any controls or radio. WTF! 2yrs old and 83hrs. Checked fuses under the hood and dash fuses-all ok and have power to them. Waited for Monday to roll around and called the dealer-told him what was going on. He said-ya the tractors 2 yrs old but electrical is only covered 1 yr. I explained its a 45 minute trip there one way, and if its not covered, where does the harness run and if there is another fuse. He said, no other fuse, but under the cab is a 10awg 2 wire 'water tight' connector that is probably corroded-that powers the upper console. Found the connector and was full of water. Really? There is a similar connector next to it that is bone dry. At least he gave me what to look for. He said you don't need to replace the connector and all they would do is cut out the connector and heat shrink the wires back together-which is what they would do not under warranty. So I did this and wrapped the harness up. Dielectric greased the connector next to it-everything works now. I seldom use the tractor in the rain and it has never been submersed.
I figured I would give anyone some insight of what their problem may be if they run into this issue.
