Hesitate to buy a China made tractor but can't afford anything else.
Found this TYM T234 with 285hrs 3rd function, no headlights asking $8500
Kioti, Kubota, even 10-15 yrs old, way out of my price range for home owner to put 20-30hrs a yr on.

TYM is South Korean, like Kioti and LS; do you have a dealer nearby? TYM has expanded a lot over the last few years, basically doubling their footprint in the United States after acquiring Kukje/Branson, and long term support should be promising. If not, there is always the internet for parts!

You generally don't hear bad things about Mitsubishi diesels either. 🍻

I'd be asking how they broke the grille and light assembly. Probably something that could be avoided in the future with a brush guard and grille guard insert. Even if you don't replace the grille it would be best to have some protection over the gaping maw.

It looks really clean, outside of the glaring obvious.

[EDIT]: I'm wondering if something fell on the hood...

We have that tractor. Strong machine. I can’t see the three point arms in the pic?

Yeah, he does not have arms and won't tell me about front damage.

Is this a sub compact? Is it close to Bobcat 2025 frame wise?

That sits close to the same size as the current TYM T264, check around you can find them used whole with no damage for $12k-15k if you look around if willing to go up some in price. Search Tony's tractor on youtube all he does with the T264. The T234 are nice tractors, they come with a 3 cyl Mitsu diesel.

Pretty sure it is the same frame as the third generation T233, T273, T293. The fourth generation and T25 have a whole lot of parts interchangeability. I ordered the rear remote kit for my T233. The packaging listed the T234, T264 and T25. It bolted right onto the top of my transmission.

Next time I was at the dealer, I looked at a T25. Seemed really similar to my T233. So, I downloaded the parts manual for the T25. I opened up both manuals as pdfs. I'd look up a part number for the T233 and then look for that part number in the T25 parts book. Only difference in the transmission is the case, and that part number varies by a letter on the end. Everything internal on the transmission and the axles that I looked at is the same. Hydraulic line from the transmission to the hydraulic pump has one line different.

Fenders are different. And the levers are a bit different. But that could just be the color-coded handles on the newer ones. The ROPS hoop is the same.

I bought my T233 because the thing most likely to wear out is the engine, and Mitsubishi S3L engines are relatively inexpensive to work on or replace. And the buddy who owned it moved to California and sold it to me for a screaming deal of: $7500 for the Tractor, freshly rebuilt 20-ft Equipment trailer, a SSQA set of forks, a rear blade, landscape rake, a ballast box, and a three-point trailer hitch.
