When we bought our TYM T254 new 3 years ago I could not fine much info online about that model. So I am posting some side by side pictures of our new to us Branson/TYM 2610h and our T254. We are very happy with the T254 and it has completed every task we asked of it. The T254 will lift 1200lbs on the front loader and we tested that with a crane scale. However I wanted something just a little bigger for my 250lbs but.
So we went shopping and tried out the TYM T25 and T 264 while they were only slightly bigger , like the T254 on bigger tires , but still a little cramped for me. Tried out a Kioti 2620 and but felt like it was a little big for our property with lots of trees to weave in and out of.
So we ended up with a Branson/TYM 2610h and it is the perfect size for us. Its weighs about 800lbs more than the T254 and digs dirt a lot better. I will say the T254 is very smooth and powerful with the Yanmar engine. The Kukje engine is quieter but does not seems as powerful as the Yanmar . The real plus is extra weight , length and width of the 2610h. I am posting some pictures below.

Good writeup. I'm sure that many will find it useful.

Now if you would purchase some of the tractors that I'm considering, and post your views on those, I'd really appreciate it. :)

Does the 2610 have 3 range HST? I thought that was the main difference between that and 2400H or 2800H. Not sure what TYM these would be similar to though.

The 2610h does in deed have the 3 range, which is really nice. sometimes low is too low, and High is too high. The mid range is awesome.

Glad you guys seem to like my post , I hope it helps people.
The more I use the 2610 the more I like it. I have done extensive research about the model. The TYM 2610, Bad Boy 3026 and Branson 2610 are all the same tractor made by Kukje.
Yes it has a 3 range trans. I love the loader lift height 93 inch. The T254 only lifts to 75 inch.

Close. Those 3 tractors are all made by TYM. TYM completed their purchase of Kukje a few years ago. They have owned most of it for 7? years or so, iirc. They seem to be doing a good job of slowly merging the legacy TYM lines with the legacy Kukje lines. Often with a takeover you see them shed the new line. TYM recently rolled out a cab version of the former Kukje 5835 (their biggest tractor). Not the move you'd expect if they were dumping the line.

I have a legacy TYM model, but it has always had a Kukje (now TYM) engine.

Then there is also the T2500L here in Europe, which is the same as the 2610 but bigger tires and 9x3 transmission versus 6x2 in the case of gear drive.

Looked at TYM/Branson at a former Branson dealer shortly after TYM merged the Branson line into TYM. He said he preferred the TYM/Branson models over the TYM ones at least in part because he knew the Branson machines. So that's what he ordered and had in stock.

IMO, there's no real substitute for going and at least sitting on the different models under consideration. I was surprised at the stoutness of the build when I shopped in person.

Since that time, both of the TYM dealers I shopped at in my area are no longer TYM dealers. One sold TYM plus another brand, and evidently that was causing enough friction that he dropped TYM. I don't know what happened to the other dealership.
