Anyone out there put a hydraulic side link on there t474 ?
I'm away from my tractor at the moment .
What size/length cylinder does it require ?

Ideally the retracted length of the cylinder is about the min adjustment of your current side link.

My tym built rk55 (t574) uses a 21 inch between pin centers cylinder. So you might want one notch shorter.

So...I just started looking for one to keep my roads crowned. Maybe this is a dumb question, but why would you only want it to adjust 1 direction? Easier to level it again? Id think youd want equal adjustment in both directions? But never having used one, maybe i dont know what im talking about and would like to be educated before purchasing one

Just my opinion, but typically it is best to have tilt to both sides equally.

That is how I build all of mine, except the Kubota BX series.

There are many situations where having the ability to tilt to both sides can be a big benefit for the operator.

Thats what i would think, but ive seen a few people suggest this so was curious as to the reason why

Well, there are some OEM units that are built that way. (JD for example)

They think that it is a set place to start from. Supposedly easier? :rolleyes: What they don't think of is that it is all relative to the ground that you are on top of at the time and not even thinking that some roads need to tilt to the left and right on the same side of the road. S turns going up-down a hill for example.

But, each to their own, I suppose.

FYI, your RK55 is a T554, not a T574. The 554 uses the Yanmar engine. The 574 uses the TYM (Kukje) engine. The 554 has slightly more HP. The 574 weighs a bit more and has higher 3pt lift capacity.

The engines are very different. The Yanmar is common rail. The TYM is mechanically injected. The advantage for the 574 is that if you have an emissions issue, the tractor doesn't go into limp mode.
