The pin rating is important for comparison of tractors. The specific number is less important for that purpose. The MT3 47 lifts 110 lbs less AND 15" lower than the T494. To directly compare, you would need to get the capacity of the T494 at the lower height. Given how physics works, it will be more than 110 lbs greater, but no idea how much more.
You would need to see the lift curve for the heights of the truck, coupled with the exact distance from the pina to make a real world comparison.
Either of these bigger tractors would be able to lift the 1 Ton pallet either way.
