Problems with my TYM. Here we go again.
T474HC
I bought this tractor about the end of May. I have used it very little because of job and family obligations over the last four months. It has less than 50 hours on it and it’s in the shop.
Keeps losing RPMs to the point of almost stalling. Took it to the closest TYM dealer and asked them to do the 50 hour service and find out what is going on with it.(47 hours) They completed the 50 hour service and I think it was $390ish dollars. No problem. Thanks for doing it.
They thought they knew what the problem was and showed me how the hydraulic filter’s insides had collapsed. What? Said they never seen it before. Must of been a defect from factory. Me either. Never seen that before. But everything worked fine now when they drove it. Brought it home and found time to use it the next day or two. Did a little moving of sticks and stones in the bucket and after 10-12 minutes I started to do some back dragging to level the area off. RPMs dropped to almost nothing again and kept doing it. I had to drive it back slowly to the barn. Called them up and they said okay we will come and pick it up.
It’s been two weeks today. They are a busy place. I get it. They told me last Saturday that they thought they would get it in Monday and have it back to me Monday or Tuesday afternoon. It’s now Saturday morning. Frustrating. To say the least. Just dam depressing, souring my mood toward everything. I have literally mowed grass with it, moved a couple buckets of dirt, rocks, sticks, and turned the horse manure pile several times. About 47 hours on it.
No response when I call them. Get answering machine and it says to leave a text. Did that. No response. Just lost on what to do. Wait. I guess.
Now I have the time to put it to work and I can’t even use my new tractor.
I guess I should have spent the extra $20,000 and bought a new Kubota? Or better yet. Bought a used Kubota about the same price? Never had any problems with the Kubotas.
C’mon TYM. Help get my tractor fixed!
