Yea, I missed that post. trust me, service centers can tell pretty quickly from a variety of points whether or not someone is using a machine commercially or not. The hour meter is one for sure, but machine condition, parts that have a known amount of hours as standard before giving up wearing out early etc etc.

I appreciate the kind words, but I am nothing special. I just try to treat others how I like to be treated, and help others when/where I can in the same way I need help at times and appreciate it when someone does the same thing for me.:)

Getting ready to perform my twenty five hour maintenance on my mower. Which includes a thorough scraping of the deck. I have a little extra money in my pocket so I am going to buy a Magna Matic 8000 Package. It comes with the Magna Matic 8000, 1000, and the table to attach them to. I am going to pay about $1,500 for it. However I have someone that wants me to sharpen their blades as well. It will save me $50.00 right now as well since I do not need to buy an extra set to trade on and off my mower. I also just got a credit card that give me $200 back when you spend over $500. So good deal because I will have it paid in full in a few months and it has not interest for a year.

If I remember I will take some pictures and maybe some video and upload for anyone that might be interested in seeing. The Oregon G5's are still doing an excellent job.

Pictures or video? Interested in a Magna Matic 9000 and a Magna Matic 1000. Would like input on them.

There are really nice package deals you can get that include a table mount, grinder, and a place for one of the blade balance things. I did a lot of research on it but have not made the investment yet. Last year I asked how many people would be interested in it and only a couple came forward, over time more and more people came forward. If you are looking to make money off it you really need to have some sort of customer base first.

I know this is really crappy of me but the yellow one (9000?) is the one you want for many reasons and one of the biggest being it can sharpen uneven blades, like mulching or gator blades. They are not that complicated. At the time I had picked out EXACTLY what I wanted and needed. You just have to choose the appropriate wheel and the grinder and balance mount thing that suites your needs.

The only reason you would not buy the more commercial based model is if you are doing your own blades and know they are good old fashion straight blades. I have been looking at blades on many different kinds of mowers whenever possible and I am surprised because I rarely ever see a perfectly straight blade.

Thanks, thought you got them and was looking for input other than the manufacturer video's. I did order the balancer today.

If I remember I will come back here and update. Right now I am collecting my old mower blades and just buying new ones as I need them. Therefore if I have some people tell me they are interested at the end of this year I will definitely pick one up. I will make some money off of it and definitely save myself some money by getting some more use out of my old blades.

I upgraded my shop blade grinder from the old oregon 1 1/2 hp 12" grinder to a burr king 760 this year. world of difference in grinding speed. Can sharpen the average blade in under 60 seconds.

That is a belt grinder right? Also can you sharpen uneven mulching blades?
