I am looking at buying a new or new to me tractor. I was looking at Grey Market Yanmars however happened open Tytan Tractors.

Anyone know anything about these?

I have seen their web site and watched some of their reviews/Testimonials, however I have found very little about them on this web site or others.

I did talk to the owner briefly today, who seemed pleasant. They are within 40 miles of me other wise I wouldn't even consider them.

Like I said looking for any insight?

Thanks

I'd stay with a better known brand.

I think Tytan tractors are actually Jinma's. I know the bulldozers that they sell are re-badged Yuchai's. If I remember correctly, that dealer had his hands slapped by the law for misrepresenting his tractors, saying they were made in the USA, which they aren't. There is a better tractor dealer in Keno, OR.

Sounds like trouble

That was the Woodland/Kalama location. I wonder if there is a new individual involved or if Mark Leonard has resurfaced? The used tractor outfit about thirty miles north of Kalama just hated Mark Leonard.

Be very cautious of used Tytan tractors. I bought one that looked good, had low hours and worked good on the lot. When the fresh paint washed off of a lot of parts I found that it had been put together from a lot of different tractors. Some parts matched some didn't. One set of brake shoes had plenty of lining the other was worn through the rivets. The hydraulics were a nightmare. Bottom line it cost me over $9000 to own it for 2 years. Only got to put 200 -hours on the meter must have had at least that much in repair time. Parts, when available were over priced. Your JD is a much better tractor. When I tried to trade it in nobody would take it as there is no listing in the blue book.

Save your money here... the fact that you are having trouble finding info now should be a sign that you will feel alone in future with one. Me, if budget is a huge issue, I would look for a used but well documented brand/model that is more supported.

Well stated. I'd stay away from an unproven brand like this. There are used JD, Kubota, Kioti, LS, Mahindra, Massey, etc. that will give years of service for similar money.
