TZ Sub Compact Pics

The one issue I had when I sat on a TZ24 at my dealer was the vibration of the motor. 3 cyl, but still vibrated very harshly. I did start it up but didn't drive it. It was sold /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif It was on the lot 3 days or so I was told, then sold.

I have to wonder why they didn't include a backhoe. But then neither did JD. Maybe they found out that many people who buy the little BX or GC units don't actually use them? Or maybe there is some issue with engineering?

I did notice they included a cup holder. That alone is worth the price? And by the way, did the dealer give you any prices?

The curved arm loader should give great visibility down to the bucket and
it looks pretty darn kewl too /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif!

Thanks for posting all the pictures.

The TZ18 is supposed to list at $9100, So I would guess the 24 will be around 10,500 or so. Just a guess.

This was posted by spencer200 a while back on the TZ18
The list price of the TZ18 is 9100.00 which is substantially less than the TC18
My TC18 cost me $8851 so I wonder what list was on it /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Alright, here is my take. (I sell both)

The TZ will run 10-15% more money than the BX, pretty well in line with the 2210.

Its physically bigger, expecialy in the operators space. It is much longer than the BX with the loader on. The visibility is better, but not as noticly better as on the larger tractors.

The sensitrac 4WD is a welcome feature.

The engine is clearly not a Kubota, its not as smooth.

There is no backhoe, although the new woods will probably fit. From what I have seen it will not be nearly as slick or as cost effective as the BX23.

Some people like the TZ fit and finish better, I think it could go either way.

I think its a really solid machine and a good offering, but its not going to displace the BX as the market share king. I think its a great fit for someone who needs just a bit more machine than the BX, or needs the physical size to stretch out their legs.

Two things I saw, one of which I liked and one that surprised me...the fuel tank is no longer under the hood, but under the rear fender, making it more accessible than my TC18. And, I was surprised to see it with a 10LA loader, which I would have expected on a TZ18 -- I would have expected the 12LA on a 24.

Don,
I would assume the 2 TZ's are to be built on the same platform, like they both were before. Hence the same loader on both.

INspector, you're right. I find it very easy to get confused by the TZ24DA (with 10LA) and the TC24DA (with 12LA).

When I bought my TC18, my dealer offered his opinion that the 24 HP was maybe a bit of overkill for the Category I chassis, and the TC18 would do everything I want. I wonder how he feels about the 24 HP in the sub-compact TZ chassis?

Also, if I read the NH specs correctly, only the TZ series sub-compacts have a mid PTO standard; the TC series do not, any longer. I couldn't see any place that specified whether the mid PTO is an option for the TC 21/24.

All in all, I'm glad I bought my TC18/12LA when I did -- it would be harder for me to choose one, now.

Thought I recognized that place. I was there two or three weeks ago and there weren't any TZ's around.
