I have the same type property needs but fo 3.7 acres and I ended up with the 34DA HST FEL BAck hoe,HST rake,rear mower, QA fork.

I love the Tractor 35HP
you mention that you plan on clearing some day the 200 trees this is where the HP counts --my opinion when it comes time to removing stumps you will need atleast 30HP, now there are times I wish I had the 35DA with the 16LA FEL for more lifting power.

My Tractor fits my needs so I reccomend either the 34DA or 35DA.
look at the 26 next to 30 and up for size comparrison.

You don't want to kick yourself later.

My TN 70A comes with FROPS too. Fits in my garage no problem. Has a horizontal exhaust.

All I can say, is you never have too much power!

LOL In Doc's case, it's a BIG boy toy.

The TN series is an agricultural class tractor from New Holland.

Ag Utility tractor. 3 cyl, 70 hp turbo, 2 or 4WD. Almost 6000 pounds with FEL QA bucket. It is a brute. 8X8 tranny with PowerShuttle (forward/reverse requires no clutch action). AG tires. Will move mountains. And it fits nicely into my mini-barn.

I've got a TC18 (same size as TC26DA - class 1) on 3.8 acres - Dad has TC40DA (class 3) on 30 acres (12 cleared).

It takes me 1 hour to mow 1 acre of lawn with my 60" MMM (lots of trees to go around).

For lawn mowing & snow removal, any of the tractors you mentioned will do the job. If it's possible (60" was the biggest I could get) I'd get the 72"MMM on the TC26DA to save time.

For your other uses, you may want to consider a larger machine (class 2 or class 3). Or consider renting bigger equipment to get the job done fast & be done with it. Not that the smaller machines can't do it, it will just take a while. The sub compact & small compact tractors excell at mowing, light material movement (snow, mulch etc) and other light duty tasks. There can be an issue using a post hole digger with the sub compacts (not enough height above ground level).

Dad has the skid steer style quick attach on the TC40DA - it takes about 2 min to change from bucket to grapple, to forks. The TC40 is literally twice the tractor of the TC18 - 2x HP, weight & lift capacities. It does MUCH more work in an hour than the TC18 does.

It seems that the jump in price between the class 1 & class 2 is bigger than betweent the class 2 & class 3.

Once you drive the machines a bit, you'll happily set the wife's car out in the winter to fit a bigger one in your garage

If you are setting up a demo, see if you can try out a big machine too. You'll probably want turf tires if your lawn is soft...

The 26 may handle the 72"mmm if you had level land. I have a 72 on a class ll TC29D and on my hills I do have to slow down some as she works it. The other thing is the 72" will tend to scalp more because of the width. I had the 60 before on my TC21D and kind of wished I had the 60" yet. But if level land you should be ok.

I've been using a TZ25DA for about five months now and here are my toughts, for what thet are worth. Overall this piece of equipment is a well designed, high quality product. Totally reliable, and easy to use. I have 5 acres to mow, about 3 acreas are hilly grass. The MMM cuts well and the tractor handles the hills just fine. The remaining acres are scrub and tall grass. The 48" rotary mower handles these areas quite well. While I haven't tried snow removal yet, I have no doubt that the AWD will prove to be easy, and safe .

My concern, given your future intended needs is with earth moving. The hydrolics on the TZ25DA are OK for a small machine, but not strong enough for earth work. Also the light weight of the tractor, even with a 500 lb. weight box just does not have the mass to move dirt, especially compacted stuff.

I'm very pleased with the dealer support, and parts availability. I'd happily recommend the TZ25DA for yard work, but not earth work.
