Please excuse my ignorance but I'm picking up my first tractor this weekend and I can not find anywhere that has trailers for rent that meet the weight requirements. I'm trailering a Kubota b7500 w/302 fel approx weight 2000 lbs. Would there be any problem using a uhaul car trailer I wouldn't think there would be but I wanted to get some experienced opinions. Thanks for the help this site is great with so many knowledgable folks.

I think they are short, around 12 foot of bed,,measure one and the yellow trucks also have a trailer rental, used to be Ryder?

the ramps the vehical sits on have a fixed spaceing which may be to wide for a SCUT.

The trailers are HEAVY HEAVY!

They will ask what car your hauling on it so have one picked out in your head. If you wreck it without that car on it there will be a LOT of questions.

Finnally the intown rental on the trailer would be about the same as what the dealer would cost to move it, and or what it would cost for a roll off truck to pick it up and deliver it with out all the hassel of dealing with U-haul

Thanks, I'm buying the machine used about 70 miles from my home so dealer not really an option. But as long as the tractor is wider than the ramp spacing you think I will be ok?

Yes go for it.. Take a couple of short pieces of 6x6 about 18 inches long. and one heavy 2 by board.. Use one of their ramps and make the other one from scratch if you have to.
A car hauler will haul 5k easy enough

I used a U-Haul car hauler to haul a Ford 1310 w/ FEL, right about 3000 lbs., about 60 miles. Track width on the machine is around 45" and it sat on the edges of the trailer's two tracks. The hauler has surge brakes a pulled very nicely with my F-150. I will say I don't believe U-Haul approves of this use!

Around here the local tool rental places all rent car hauler or equipment trailers.

Yes, I tried about 5 different tool rental places none of which could help me. They had either huge trailers for heavy equipment or small 10 footers. I also tried 2 trailer dealers with negative results. I guess I am going to go with u haul I have to agree with you Iowachild I don't think they would approve of a tractor but....Thanks for everyone's help I really need to get my new toy.
