My TC29D has a U-shaped bracket under it. It's connected with 2 bolts and it's located about half way up and on one side of the frame. What's this for? I've speculated it's a tie down point for trailering, is that right? Is it a good point to connect a chain or tow strap to help prevent the front end from coming up? Thanks.

Danny,
My dealer told me that was added to the Boomers fairly recently. It's designed exactly as you surmised, for a tie-down during transport. I set the brakes, run a big nylon strap thru that tie-down, and hit the road. My TC45D has been hauled several hundred miles with no ill effects.

Jim:

I suspected as much as Danny did. Pretty cool little feature. Sometimes it's the little "thoughtful touches" like this that you really come to appreciate.

Best Regards,
Jay
