Uber and Lyft - alternatives to taxis. Do you use it? Good od not?

I would take a Taxi or Uber to the Hospital before an Ambulance if at all possible. Here (in Canada) those Ambulance people have become authority freaks and actually look quite militarized. I'm surprised they don't carry a sidearm actually. It would round out the uniform nicely.
