UDT? Super UDT?

More questions - I don't know what my L3000DT came with and I wanted to buy a quart of the stuff to keep as a spare for topping off if needed.

Since I don't know what's already in there, what would you recommend to get? Will these mix OK with each other?

I believe all new botas are shipped with super and super and regular should be compatible. It is my understanding the main advantage of super is cold weather performance.

what I dont understand is how UDT or 90wt gear lube are both acceptable for the front axle. I dont think I have ever encounted two lubricants of such vastly different viscosity being acceptable for the same application?

Dealers around here deliver the l3000's with UDT. But they could of used super as well. When they did my 50 hour service it came in well over the quote (they used super). They adjust the bill am I got super for the price of UDT. But in non-HST machines, I don't think it makes any difference.

I don't know how to tell the difference between em though, I have both and they look the same to me. Ask the dealer what they put in.

Thanks - I checked and there was no problem with mixing them topping off as needed from time to time.

As far as the UDT vs 90wt I agree with you - I can't see mixing these at all!

I think you can distinguish between the two by smell. UDT has a much stronger smell than Super UDT.

The dealer is locating spec sheets for me on UDT and Super UDT. So far all he was able to tell me is that the Super UDT has more synthetics in it. See the topic "Hot UDT"...............chim
