Ugliest tractor

Well those older Kubotas and Yanmars had pretty ugly styling. But Jerome's tractor is in too good a condition to actually be called ugly.

That convertible tractor, outside the store, is way to cool to be ugly

But the car converted tractor is definitely UGLY. That one does make the qualifying round. But, I couldn't see one shard of duct tape so they clearly are not trying hard enough to place.

The crawler with what looks like a lawn chair seat, that one makes qualifying too.

Ford960 is in the running too. The shot covered with mud is a good touch. The judges like mud. The tow bar is a great touch. You are learning, but read below for extra credit.

Now boys, if you want to play in this game, lets see
- sun ravaged duct tape
- serious paint runs
- several different shades of both primer and finish paint
- Lawn chair seats get extra points for sure
- Lawn umbrelas are good
- lots of mud is good but make sure it doesn't cover some of the other finer features
- mismatched tires are always a plus
- road tires give it that "I am cheaper than you" kind of appeal
- white walls take it to the next level
- vice grips gain special status, especially if used for a beer holder
- speaking of beer, any use of old beer cans is a good thing
- bullet holes are good
- properly aged, home made sheet metal that has been damaged is the stuff of champions

Ok boys, I know there out there, step up and show us the real stuff

I better not let my wife see your post slave to horses or I'll never get it painted.

Heck Jerome, it doesn't look like it needs paint. Could just be the picture though.
But I am thinking it does need a rear view mirror clamped to the exhaust pipe. All your lights have glass in them. You aren't trying hard enough.

Here is the ugliest one I could find. This was sitting on my property last weekend. They had been cutting the powerline right of way with it. The front tires look fuzzy from all the cord sticking out. The back tires have huge chunks of rubber missing. There is a massive, homemade looking skid plate the whole length of the tractor with a winch on the front. The mower, or whatever it is has only one blade left on it. (But you should have seen the stuff this thing had gone through!)

It still can't hold a candle to the tractor/car shown above but its the best I could come up with.

HomeBrew2 You probably know it's a D7 Cat Model 4T, hence my moniker. It's been sitting for 2 years now. Got caught in a 100 year flood 1/2 way up the engine. It was there cause a track was off. I've got the track back on , drained water from crankcase & changed the oil. Am working 6 twelve hours days for the next 5 weeks then have some time off. Have a friends dozer to tow it to get running again or tow it across a brook to higher ground / into my barn for repair. I originally got it to stump 10 acres that was logged before I bought the property. Could have hired it done for much less but what's the fun in that? Mostly I take my grandsons for rides on our woods trails. That's what the orange buddy seat is for. It has a seatbelt.

I also cleared a mile of woods road for a neighbor that was overgrown. It had dense saplings 20' or so tall. Just skimmed the surface and they slid along in front. Every once in a while I'd turn out & leave a huge clump of still standing trees beside the road. It's amazing how many lived & are still growing. Was really neat to have a barely visable path on front of me and a 10' clear road behind. I've collected a few pictures of these dozers in WWII & the Alaska Highway. MikeD74T
