I forgot the key to my B7800 and, since many keys are alike, tried the key to my L4300. Not only didn't it work but the tractor now won't crank even with the correct B7800 key. The key feels sloppy in the slot and I can't feel anything turning one way or the other.
The gauge lights stay lit even if the key is "off" and whan I disconnect and re-connect the battery I can hear a solenoid-type click. I left the battery disconnected.
I suppose I screwed up the ignition switch and plan to get another on Monday. Anyone have any better ideas or thoughts this?
Wow what a dumb move on my part.
