I came across in Montana a few years ago!
just doesnt look like it would perform like youd expect.
i just dont get the feeling that the skidstear has enough ground speed to make the grader work right. Not that you COULDNT get enough ground speed out of it, but when you had it that high up in the hydrostat, it has virtually NO power so again, the grader just wouldnt work as you might expect.
not to mention the hydraulics on the arms.... unless you had a way to lock the arms in the down position, i just dont get the feeling that it would hold the constancy you would expect out of the grader. between flex in the mount and drift of the hydraulics over time.... again just not what you would expect.
as to the question
whats ultimate attachment mean?
most versatile? most specialized? best performance for the price?
IMHO i guess it would be the attachment that you added to your tractor that allowed you do the most number of things you couldnt do before you had it.
for instance, probibly not a box blade becuase i can move dirt around with my FEL, i can level dirt with my FEL...
probably not something specialized as you can ONLY do ONE thing with that item, brush hog ONLY does mowing duties. trencher ONLY digs trenches, stump grinder ONLY grinds stumps.
wouldnt be a dirt pan because it ONLY moves dirt and i can do that already with my FEL (perhaps not as quick as with a mini-pan, but still quicker than by hand)
so to that end
a backhoe attachment.
for digging. trenches, footings, stumps, dig holes for trees/shrubs, lifting logs, stumps, beams, etc
none of which i could do before with just an FEL. (perhaps some of the lifting tasks but not to the extent i could pick things up with my hoe and thumb.
