Hmmm, so I'm running low on the home heating oil I burn in my 1999 NH, and if I read this right, I could get a few gallons of street diesel (which would be ULSD) and add some Power Service (Diesel Kleen) silver to it and get away with it? Just to get me through. I try to let fast Eddie (our gov'ner) get as few of my dollars as possible!

It's tough to get to the HHO dealer as they are only open when I'm working, and they sure don't want to deliver 10 gal!

1*What I like about my area is there is only 1 fuel for on road, off road & home heating oil
2*I can get as little as 25 gallon delivered to this set up.

Yeah, but that ain't the case over here, as far as I know. Or at least if the HHO is actually ULSD, I don't know it; it's red and I don't pay (as much) taxes on it.

Yeah, just add some PS to the ULSD and you'll be fine.

I was wondering if this is true? A good tractor diesel mechanic told me to run a quart of automatic transmission to 20 gal of diesel and your injector problems would greatly reduced. Also other products we ok but this was cheaper. Does anyone know about this?

Nope, you don't want to run ATF or any other transmission fluid in your fuel because it will actually increase wear. Transmission fluid contains friction modifiers that are beneficial to automatic transmissions, but are detrimental to a fuel system. Stick with a name brand additive like Power Service, Stanadyne, etc., and you won't have a problem.

I hear you about not trying to give that crook eddie a penny more than I have to. I get off road diesel in 55 gal drums from the same place I get HHO. They keep telling me it is different, but when I asked the owner he danced around about it. I did my own personal study from my place and drained 45 gal of my HHO into a drum and burnt it in my tractor. Not one issue. I do put PS in all my diesel whether for the furnace or tractor or something else. MY home delivery guy doesn't want to fill up drums for me when he delivers the HHO, so I have to load them on pallets and put them in my truck and drive to the oil place. The price of off road and HHO is pretty darn close too.

Don't know if this helps, but being in the same state sometimes helps on this site.
